Pacific Helmets (NZ) Ltd is a manufacturing company based in New Zealand. We are committed to protecting the environment where we operate. We believe it is in everyone’s interest, as well as responsibility to conserve and preserve the ecosystem that we all live in. We recognize too that by integrating sound environment policy and practices into all aspects of our business, we can continue to offer high standard of quality products while conserving and preserving the world resources for future generations. Hence we are committed to environmentally sound practices in every aspect of our business, even without official certification by third party.

As part of this commitment, we have developed an environmental policy that will serve as the signpost to guide us in every aspects of our endeavor. Please see attached a copy of the policy.

We have conducted an Aspect-Impact analysis to understand the full extend of impacts our business activities have on every environmental aspects. Results from the analysis indicated that the impact is insignificant. This comes as no surprise as the Company has been diligent in ensuring that every aspect of our activities takes into consideration of environmental impacts.

Pacific Helmets has been a good environmental steward by only engaging the service of suppliers that are equally environmentally conscious. Our energy supplier has 50% of their electricity generation comes from renewable sources. Huge investment is underway by that company to increase this percentage by using renewable sources like wind and geothermal. They are also aggressively cutting back on greenhouse gases emissions by 40% by 2014.

All solid waste generated by us are disposed off by an environmentally responsible waste management company. These are either being incinerated and turn into energy, or being sent to specially engineered landfill that will not contaminate the environment.

The Company endeavors to comply fully all legislation and regulations stipulated by the national and local authorities with respect to environment, e.g. Hazardous Substances and New Organisms Act 1996, Environment Act 1986, etc. Specialized bunker has been set up to store dangerous substances that prevent fire and spillage.
