Welcome to the very safe world of PACIFIC F7 helmets. This new helmet has been designed and manufactured to the highest international standards, specifically with your comfort and safety in mind. To ensure the safest use of the helmet in active fire fighting, training or rescue tasks, please carefully read the safety leaflet supplied with the helmet.
Special instructions are necessary with regard to the interface of the SCBA masks clip to the Pacific F7 helmets.
Before attempting to fit the mask, adjust the helmet alone to your head;

Step 1. Remove the helmet from packaging and inspect for travel damage. Report any visible damage to your supplier immediately.

Step 2. Read the User handbook which is normally attached to the helmet.

Step 3. Adjust the helmet for size and Comfort.

There are 3 sizing adjustments

#1. Adjust the ratchet headband by turning the knob to comfort.When done up, the helmet should be secureon your head without the chin strap fastened.

#2. Securing the headband to "lock in" your head for lateral retention. Look carefully inside the helmet and you will note that the legs of the headband are secured to the liner by Velcro. When the headband is on your head, the lower edges of the band should rest against your head between the upper tips of both ears.
#3. It is also possible to adjust the fitting helmet of the cradle cap, by re-tensioning the ribbons.

This is not normally necessary, but for some head sizes, it may assist both with comfort, the feeling of being inside (or too far inside) the helmet. Under the leather crown cap, the ribbons are secured in the centre by a string tie. These can be released (lowers the helmet on the head) or tightened (raises the helmet on your head). Please ensure the string is retired securely.

Take some time to play with these adjustments in order to satisfy yourself that you have adjusted the helmet to the most comfortable position possible.

Step 4. Now you are ready to try fitting the SCBA mask. The seal of the mask can be adversely affected by a conflict with the front of the headband. It may now be necessary to re-adjust the headband so that it’s lower edge sits further up inside the helmet, clear of the top rim of the mask seal. These helmets can be used with either clip-on or head mounted SCBA masks.
